All of the triangle approximation models are below, in order of number of sides, or approximation accuracy. They are animated through the variable theta, which represents the angle of twist. The calculations are for the approximate area of the blade, and change with the twist angle. Note that the 24 side approximation has one incorrectly constrained side (which is reflected to the other blade). This causes much of the figure to disapear at certain twist angles. If your browser starts all of the animations simultaneously, then the twist angle for each model will be the same at any given time. The aspect ratio of all of the models is the same (height:radius of 2:1); however, the values are different in some cases. The areas are all either in the range of 11-17 or 0.7-1.1 units squared.
